Today, the cinema sector receives intensive support from the government, in particular, this includes the rebate system at regional venues.
The ANO "Festival Directorate" is empowered to provide the activities of the film commission.
How can we be helpful?
Film Commission Services
ANO "Festival Directorate" forms a base of portfolios and resumes of actors, screenwriters, directors, cameramen, directors, illuminators, make-up artists and other specialties in demand in film production.
How do we work?
Ivan Samokhvalov, senior producer of SREDA Production Company
We filmed 2 projects in 2019 and 2020 and I have reason to say that the process of forming an industrial film cluster in Kaliningrad is going ahead of my expectations and forecasts. We filmed a very difficultly staged art series, which could not have taken place without such a comprehensive help from the Kaliningrad Film Commission. The quality and production that we now have in the series is a great merit of the film commission. We had everything we could only dream of: the spit, dunes, the sea, the closure of transport bridges, security facilities. Everything that would not have happened without the "maternal care" of the film commission.
Nigina Sayfullaeva, director, screenwriter ("Loyalty")
Previously, the filmmakers and the city rather interfered with each other, therefore, it is a great happiness that the situation has changed. The city is glad to us, we can make films with the help of the film commission, and not to do it in spite of. I am sure this friendly atmosphere is transmitted to the screen and Russian cities look freer, brighter and just the way we love them. In our movie “Loyalty”, we managed to shoot exactly where the film needed. This happened thanks to the assistance of the film commission. So we express our gratitude from the whole team and look forward to further cooperation work!
Alexey Uchitel, producer, director ("Tsoi")
All two weeks of filming the film "Tsoi" in Kaliningrad passed in one breath, thanks to the Kaliningrad Film Commission, which provided invaluable support in organizing the process and was involved in any difficulties that arose, helping to find a prompt solution. The active participation of Andrei Yermak, the Minister of Culture of the Kaliningrad Region, and the well-coordinated work of the local administration made the filming process much easier. Kaliningrad surprised me with its cinematic and diverse locations - it's even strange to me that we had never filmed here before. I definitely plan to come back here again with a new film.
